“Mayfield Kindergarten is such a wonderful place. The smaller numbers of children mean staff know all of the children so well. The environment has such a welcoming and homely feel, with toys and activities that engage children as well as developing their independence at their own pace. From a safety aspect, I like that all rooms are located on the ground floor. At Mayfield, children are catered for on an individual basis, I sent my child from 7 months old and was pleased that he could stick to his nap time routine. My little boy has always been a big fan of their home cooked meals created in the kitchen using fresh fruit and vegetables grown in the garden. The outdoor space is just as inviting and used frequently by all children. Above all else, staff are dedicated to ensuring my little boy is happy, cared for and support his development- they really feel like an extended family.”

We have gained the following awards:
- Healthy Choices Award – Worcestershire Regulatory Service
- Food Hygiene Rating – Food Standards Agency
- Paediatric First Aid – all staff not just the obligatory 1 person for the setting
- Safeguarding Children Certificates
Also, our staff continually work to maintain our high standards and promote good practice by working with the:
- Worcestershire Early Years Service
We are also proud to have an extremely low staff turnover, the majority of staff have been with us for 20 years plus. Consequently, we all have years of experience, and are ready to help with any advice and help families may need.
Staff are all fully qualified:
- 2 at degree level and above
- 1 staff member at Level 2 – with ongoing training
- All others Level 3 and above
Additionally, we have staff with specialist skills and training in special needs, infant massage, forest school, creative thinking, yoga and music.
Furthermore, our wonderful staff team have qualifications and continue to renew and update certificates. Staff training and personal development is ongoing and very important to us.
