At Mayfield our food is natural, colourful, varied, healthy and, of course, delicious!
Our fees include all meals and a full day normally involves: breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
We promote healthy eating at Mayfield House Kindergarten. Our homemade food is cooked fresh on-site everyday using ingredients from our allotment. We like to encourage meals times to be social experiences with time given for the children to enjoy their food. We encourage trying new foods but also believe in a no pressure approach so children find meal times enjoyable.
At Mayfield, we believe it is important to make children aware of healthy choices. We explore this with the children by making the most of seasonal food, often grown and picked by the children themselves. As a result, the children have hands-on experiences growing, tending to and picking food from our very own vegetable patch, orchard and allotment.
Explore more about this on our Outdoor Facilities page.
We know that introducing good nutrition during the early years is an investment in children’s future health.
We also introduce children to making their own food by allowing them to choose their own ingredients and investigate textures and flavours.
Due to the seasonality of our ingredients our menu is ever evolving.
Second helpings are always welcome!
Furthermore, we are happy to work with parents to accommodate allergies and cater to any dietary requirements.

Finally, please note this is subject to change and constantly changing as we are committed to using seasonal and fresh ingredients.
