Mayfield House Kindergarten is a nursery in the heart of Kidderminster. We are passionate about unique and creative childcare and early years education centred around the whole child.
With over 30 years of experience running our Kidderminster nursery, we promote natural and traditional nursery care; with a focus on creativity, nature and hands-on learning.
We also create home-grown and home-cooked food catered to all diets.
Explore – Grow – Learn
Furthermore, the word Kindergarten, first used by Froebel in 1837, stems from the German word for ‘children’s garden’, further emphasising our passion for the outdoors and children’s well-being. Through exploration, hands-on, experiential learning we promote growth in a nurturing environment. Alongside our highly experienced staff we enable the children in our care to have the best start to life.
We are open 52 weeks of the year and care for children from 0-5 years.
A normal week at Mayfield House Kindergarten often involves baby yoga, swimming, forest/woodland visits, cooking, drama, dance, music, craft and the allotment.
Our nursery ethos and curriculum have been influenced by the philosophies and teaching styles of Froebel, Montessori, High Scope and Reggio Emilio, and more recently through contributing to E.E.L. (The Effective Early Learning Research Project).
Finally, Mayfield House Kindergarten fees include all meals and nappies!
